Los Angeles police have apprehended a criminal ring believed to be responsible for nearly 100 burglaries across the city, officials announced Monday.

The crimes spanned West LA, Pacific Division, Hollywood, Wilshire, West Valley, and Topanga, with some dating back to 2022, though most occurred in 2024 and 2025.

At a news conference Monday, LAPD officials revealed that 10 members of the ring had been arrested. Officials say all are repeat offenders with known gang ties and described the arrests as a “major win” for the city.

The investigation’s big break came in February when officers arrested three suspects during a pursuit. Police recognized the suspects’ van as being connected to a burglary the day before, which led to information about additional individuals involved in the ring.

Following that lead, authorities executed simultaneous early morning search warrants on Feb. 20 at eight homes in Los Angeles, Hawthorne, Inglewood, and Carson. They recovered 15 firearms, several reported stolen from residential burglaries, along with a large quantity of ammunition in various calibers, and numerous stolen valuables including high-end bracelets, designer purses, suitcases, and wallets.

Officials emphasized that none of the arrests are connected to a separate string of Encino burglaries this summer. Roy Noeser, president of the Encino Homeowners Association, expressed disappointment but said he hopes investigative tactics used in this bust are applied to unsolved cases in the area.

“It definitely gives you some hope that they are cracking these cases and solving these crimes,” Noeser said, noting that some burglaries date back as far as 2022 and could take years to resolve.

District Attorney Gascón added that the suspects in this large-scale burglary ring face maximum sentences under California law. Those with prior strikes could potentially receive life sentences.

Police say the investigation remains active, and additional arrests could follow as authorities continue to track down individuals involved in the wider network of burglaries.

The bust marks one of the largest coordinated efforts in recent Los Angeles history to target prolific residential burglary rings, underscoring ongoing efforts by law enforcement to crack down on repeat offenders with gang affiliations.
