Reports surfaced that Johnson’s father, Mark Johnson, was involved in a physical altercation with Avery’s older brother following the Wildcats’ 24–21 loss to Iowa State in Dublin, Ireland.
Footage of the incident has since gone viral and circulated online, drawing widespread attention and sparking discussion among fans and analysts around the team and its players.

Despite the chaos, Johnson went 21 of 30 through the air for 273 yards and two touchdown passes, while he earned another score on the ground, standing out as one of the few bright spots in Kansas State’s disappointing loss.
