The Green Bay Packers and quarterback Jordan Love have a Super Bowl on their mind as they enter the upcoming 2025 NFL season.
With the regular season right around the corner, the Packers have also become a talking point in the Micah Parsons trade rumor mill. Green Bay has been connected as a possible trade suitor for Parsons if the Dallas Cowboys give in to his trade request.
Parsons is one of the best defensive players in football. However, the Packers are not usually known as a team who makes aggressive trades like it would take to acquire him.
Despite the fact that Green Bay doesn’t usually make blockbuster trades, Love spoke out about Parsons.

During an appearance speaking with Kay Adams, Love revealed that he spent some time with Parsons this offseason. He also shared that he did a little recruiting trying to bring the superstar pass rusher to the Packers.
“I recruited him a little bit,” Love admitted.
Love is expected to take a big leap forward during the 2025 season. He was expected to have his breakout season in 2024, but a knee injury in Week 1 slowed that down. Perhaps this will be the season that he works his way into superstar status.
Adding Parsons to the roster would make Green Bay a much bigger contender. Brian Gutekunst may not have interest in acquiring the 26-year-old superstar, but the Packers could use more pass rushing help and it can’t get any better than Parsons.
It still seems to be far-fetched that the Cowboys would move on from Parsons. The most likely scenario remains that Jerry Jones and company pay up to keep him.
Should he actually hit the open trade block, could Green Bay make an aggressive move for him? It would be an incredibly expensive deal, especially to convince Dallas to trade him within the NFC.

While Love has been doing some recruiting, Packers fans should temper their expectations. Parsons likely isn’t coming to Green Bay, although that possibility can not be written off entirely.
Expect to continue hearing rumors about Parsons in the coming days and weeks. Until he signs an extension with the Cowboys or gets traded, the rumor mill will stay hot surrounding him.
