The Baltimore Ravens already have a pretty fine pass rush, as evidenced by the fact that they accumulated a hefty 54 sacks last season. That was good for second in the NFL. But could they still use a dominant player along the edge?
Kyle Van Noy and Odafe Oweh each posted double-digit sack campaigns in 2024, but all offseason long, many have wondered if the Ravens would look to add another edge rusher for some more oomph at the position.

Baltimore did select the nation’s leading sack-getter in Mike Green during the second round of the NFL Draft, but another proven option couldn’t hurt.
That’s why Jared Dubin of CBS Sports has listed the Ravens as a potential trade fit for Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons, who is currently embroiled in a contract dispute with the Cowboys.
“The Ravens, as mentioned in the Seahawks section, seemingly always cobble together a pass rush almost no matter who they have on the edge. It’s just what they do, year after year after year. But they’ve also shown in the past that they’re willing to take big swings for superstar players, and Parsons is as rare a superstar as there is in the league,” Dubin wrote.
Dubin added that Baltimore could make the money work by restructuring Lamar Jackson’s contract.
“Baltimore doesn’t currently have the cap space to add Parsons (around $14.5 million) but a simple restructure of Lamar Jackson’s deal ahead of a possible extension next offseason would more than make up for it, and would obviously be well worth it — especially considering that a Parsons extension would drop his own cap hit,” Dubin concluded.

Parsons has amassed 52.5 sacks over his first four NFL seasons, making the Pro Bowl each year. He has also finished within the top-three of Defensive Player of the Year voting three times.
Last season, Parsons racked up 43 tackles and 12 sacks in what was actually the least productive campaign of his career.
We’ll see if the Ravens can make a major splash by getting involved in Parsons trade discussions.
