South Carolina eliminated South Dakota with a come-from-behind walkoff win on Wednesday night, getting a 7-6 victory thanks to Andrew Bogan’s two-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning. That capped a six-run seventh after South Dakota had scored five runs in the top of the frame.
Cache Malan got Nevada off to a strong start with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first against Connecticut, but the team from Fairfield Little League came back to take a 7-3 win on Wednesday afternoon
The winner on Thursday night advances to face Connecticut in Saturday afternoon’s U.S. championship game.
