According to Jordan Schultz, the 49ers have landed Skyy Moore in a trade with the Chiefs that will flip 2027 sixth-round and seventh-round picks.

Moore has spent the last three seasons with the Chiefs, after he was drafted in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Michigan.
Through three seasons, Moore has brought in 494 yards and one touchdown. Though his numbers do not impress, he has yet to find his true footing.
Moore struggled to stay on the field through the last three seasons. Though he appeared in 14 games in 2023, he was placed on IR after suffering a knee injury.
The 2024 season was not much better, as Moore suffered a core muscle injury that would sideline him for the majority of the season. The good news is he is still very young in his career, and now gets a fresh start with the 49ers.
The 49ers have been struggling with offensive players, as the majority of them are currently hurt, or suspended. Ari Meirov broke down all the injuries that the 49ers are facing in the wide receiver room:
• Brandon Aiyuk: ACL recovery, out until at least Week 6
• Jauan Jennings: Calf issue + seeking new deal
• DeMarcus Robinson: Suspended 3 games
• Jordan Watkins: High-ankle sprain
• Jacob Cowing: Re-aggravated hamstring
Now, instead of waiting for a situation that may not work itself out, the 49ers pulled off a massive trade to land Moore, who can line up alongside Ricky Pearsall.
Moore will also have the benefit of catching passes from Brock Purdy, who has emerged as one of the most dependable quarterbacks in the league. While the 49ers wait for reinforcements, they can see if Moore has what it takes to emerge as a star in San Francisco.
