Thailand’s Creative Economy Agency (CEA) has announced details for the second edition of its Content Project Market (CPM), which is scheduled to take place September 10-12 in Bangkok.

Part of the Content Lab 2025 initiative, the event aims to encourage business matching and showcase Thai content across international markets. It will take place at True Digital Park (East) and encompass feature project pitching sessions, B2B business matching and networking receptions, as well as industry forums led by Thai and international guests.

Dr. Chakrit Pichyangkul, Executive Director of CEA, said: “The Content Project Market is a national marketplace where Thai content creators – including filmmakers, screenwriters, and animators – can present their ideas, concepts, or in-development projects directly to production houses, content investors, distributors, and streaming platforms from both Thailand and abroad. More than 70 companies are expected to participate.”

Speakers confirmed so far include Su Shu-kuan, director of Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), Quezon City Film Commission executive director Liza Dino, Chalermchatri Yukol, president of the Film and Series Subcommittee of Thailand’s National Soft Power Strategy Committee, Thai producer Cattleya Paosrijaroen; Hang Trinh, founder of Vietnam’s Skyline Media, Mokster Film’s Nelson Mok and Ruben Hattari, public policy director for Netflix in Southeast Asia.

Forum sessions will be open not only to content professionals but also to the general public interested in the content and media industry.

“CEA views the Content Project Market as more than just an event – it is a step toward building a comprehensive and sustainable ecosystem for Thai content creators,” Chakrit continued. “By connecting talent with funding and commercial platforms, we are opening doors for projects to progress into production while elevating the standard of Thai content to compete on the global stage. The event also reinforces Thailand’s image as a growing creative hub.”

The pitching sessions will include 54 creative teams, around 34 of which are participating in CEA’s Content Lab 2025 project, through three different strands: Mid-Career: Project, for established creators developing content for international markets; Mid-Career: Story, for screenwriters developing commercially viable scripts; and Mid-Career: Animation, for creators preparing Thai animations for production. In addition, around 20 professional content teams were selected through an Open Call.

CEA, a public agency under the supervision of the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand, has a mission is to drive the growth of Thailand’s creative economy in a balanced and sustainable way.
