Sláinte! Netflix‘s upcoming drama House of Guinness will launch on September 25, and here’s your first look at the series.
The series, from Banijay UK’s Kudos and Nebulastar, explores Ireland’s Guinness family dynasty, who were responsible for brewing and distributing the famous stout drink. Written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, who is penning the next James Bond movie,
Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, the story begins immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery. It centers on his children Arthur (Anthony Boyle), Edward (Louis Partridge), Anne (Emily Fairn) and Ben (Fionn O’Shea), and the workers and associates of the factory.
Further cast includes James Norton, Dervla Kirwan, Jack Gleeson, Niamh McCormack, Danielle Galligan, Ann Skelly, Seamus O’Hara, Michael McElhatton, David Wilmot, Michael Colgan, Jessica Reynolds, Hilda Fay and Elizabeth Daulau.
Tom Shankland and Mounia Akl are the directors, with Shankland exec producing alongside Karen Wilson, Elinor Day, Knight, Martin Haines and Ivana Lowell. Series producr is Cahal Bannon and Howard Burch is the producer.
