KEEN and Metalwood Studio linking up has been a long time coming. “The team there had already been wearing KEEN sandals before and after golfing,” recalls KEEN’s global merchandising director, Masaki Takagi. Connecting organically over shared values of sustainability and accessibility, the two brands have come together for the first time for KEEN’s foray into the golf world, offering up a duo footwear that’s fit for both before and after your 18 holes.

The first collaborative shoe is the Metalwood Studio x KEEN Hyperport Clog, which draws from KEEN’s hybrid sandal for inspiration. Mirroring the same maximal cushioning approach and inclusion of a super grippy sole, the slip-on silhouette comes crafted with ethically sourced suede and boasts an equally hyperlight and breathable feel.
Next up is the UNEEK II Convertible, which follows the same earthy colorway and slip-on structure.
The design inspiration for the release? Golf course typography maps, and reflexology. Metalwood founder says the brands drew particular creative influence from “how the contours of the nervous system relate to our emotions on and off the golf course.”
