A man was hospitalized with severe injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Pamorama City.

On Aug. 12, the victim was walking near the westbound lanes of Roscoe Boulevard, just west of Tobias Avenue, when he was struck by a van around 11:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver did not stop to check on the man and continued driving away. The van was described as a gold or brown-colored vehicle.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital for treatment. He was only identified as a man in his 20s.

“Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” LAPD said.

A reward of up to $25,000 is available to anyone who provides information leading to the suspect’s identification, apprehension, and conviction.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call LAPD Officer Takishita at 818-644-8116 or at 818-644-8020.

The public can also call the LAPD at 1-877-527-3247. Anonymous tips can be provided to L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at lacrimestoppers.org.
