Two juveniles were arrested Wednesday in the gang-related shooting of a man in Orange County last month, police said.
Officers were sent to the area of Cameo Lane and Madison Avenue in Fullerton shortly before 8 p.m. on July 8 after a man called to report he had been shot, the Fullerton Police Department said in a news release on Wednesday.
Detectives determined the shooting to be gang-related and began an attempted homicide investigation after finding the victim at a nearby fire station.
The unidentified victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and has since been released, police said.
On Wednesday, a little more than a month after the shooting, investigators executed search warrants at four residences in Fullerton that were all identified as criminal street gang locations.
“As a result, Detectives arrested two juveniles in connection with the Julyshooting,” police said. “Both juveniles were booked for attempted homicide and conspiracy.”
The arrest of an adult male, involving a probation violation, was also made during the operation.
Anyone with more information about the incident was asked to contact Detective R. Valdes at 714-773-5754 or via email at [email protected]. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIPOCCS.
