Summary

  • Carolina Sarria’s Fall 2025 collection, “The War of the Three Kingdoms,” is inspired by 17th-century liberation struggles in the British Empire.
  • The punk-infused collection, which includes asymmetrically composed tartans and tarnished imperial symbols, will arrive at Dover Street Market NY on August 15.

On August 15, New York-based designer Carolina Sarria‘s Fall 2025 collection “The War of the Three Kingdoms will arrive at CDG-owned Dover Street Market NY. Drawing its core inspiration from 17th century liberation struggles in the British Empire, the collection is a collage of historical symbols representing power and identity.

The Colombian-born designer’s punk-infused streetwear ethos is layered with references to the struggle for sovereignty in England, Scotland, and Ireland in the 1640s. She sets her focus on the Clubmen, a group of vigilantes that protected their villages from various forces on opposite sides.

Tartans are stitched together in asynetrical compositions, representing the sense of disorder and fragmentation. Imperial symbols such as crowns and cartographic illustrations are tarnished, and ripped apart. Elsewhere small details like gleaming silver and gold threads, evoke the metallic shimmer of armor, swords, and shields.

However, the final result simultaneously recall the Punk aesthetic of the 1970s, which also subverted symbols of imperialism such as the crown, aristocratic dress, and military uniforms. “This is clothing for those unwilling to be written out of the story,” the brand concluded in an official statement. The collection is a reclamation of the discarded and damaged, converting these qualities into signs of resilience.

Starting on the 15th, Dover Street Market New York will offer a capsule of exclusive graphic tees along side The War of Three Kingdoms FW25 collection.
