Taylor Swift is officially stepping into her next era with the announcement of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and even Google is getting in on the excitement.
The pop superstar unveiled the album title during a surprise teaser for her upcoming appearance on “New Heights,” the podcast co-hosted by her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason. The full episode drops Aug. 13.
Google searches for Taylor Swift are accompanied by orange confetti, a fiery heart and the phrase “And, baby, that’s show business for you.”
Swift’s last album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” arrived nearly a year ago and included tracks like “The Alchemy” and “So High School,” widely believed to reference her relationship with Kelce. “The Life of a Showgirl” will also be her first album announcement since regaining ownership of her master recordings.
It’s not the first time the tech giant has added animations based on Swift. For the release of “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” she collaborated with Google on an interactive puzzle campaign that challenged fans to collectively solve 33 million word puzzles to unlock vault track titles.
Swift, known for her elaborate Easter eggs, has turned such interactive rollouts into a trademark, fueling anticipation with each new project.
