In 2003, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan teamed up with Disney for an adaptation of “Freaky Friday,” a body-swapping comedy in which Curtis and Lohan play a mother and daughter who learn what it’s like to literally be in someone else’s shoes.

Made for around $20 million, the movie became a smash hit for Disney, earning over $160 million worldwide (and millions more when it hit home video). Curtis scored a Golden Globe best actress nomination.

Since then, the movie has become a beloved classic that was even adapted for Broadway. Now, Curtis and Lohan are teaming up again for the sequel, “Freakier Friday,” which opens in theaters on Friday.

More than two decades after the original film debuted, take a look back at the red-carpet premiere of “Freaky Friday.”
