FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) — It’s not just an event; TEDxWilsonPark is an opportunity to connect with a community of curious individuals, change makers, and thought leaders who share a passion for exploration and the power of ideas.
The annual event returns to The Mane Room in Florence on Friday, Sept. 12.
This year’s theme is “ripples”: How far can your impact reach? This year, they’re exploring how individual actions, ideas, and innovations can create meaningful change.
Eight speakers are lined up to discuss everything from disparities in research in women’s health to the idea that pigs are modern heroes.
TEDxWilsonPark is a great opportunity for employers to send their staff as an appreciation or continuing education opportunity, but also for the average person to challenge their world views and reenergize their motivation
TEDx events are independently organized events that are officially licensed through TED. So when you see a “TED” talk, whether through TED or an “x” event, that’s all the same family function, so to speak.
TEDxWilsonPark has been a licensed TEDx event since Kristen Mashburn founded it in 2018. This is their eighth event.
Applications for their 2025 event have closed. They are now receiving applications for 2026. Learn more here.
