Talk about being bullheaded!

A showboating simpleton decided to try going toe-to-toe with a wild bison at Yellowstone National Park in late July, according to a wild video captured by passersby.

The man, a tourist who inched within mere feet of the grazing bison, broke park protocol for a few seconds of fame on July 24.

Bisons are extremely agile in spite of their hulking size and can charge up to 30 miles per hour — exerting more than enough force to have sent the bozo flying.

The bison at the national park didn’t appreciate being disturbed and eventually ambled mere feet in front of the man, glaring at him with its beady eyes.

“Is he calling him out?” one person recording the video said as the bison stalked closer and closer.

The daredevil, meanwhile, started to wimp out and quickly backed away, nearly tripping over a log behind him in the process before making a safe escape.

The moment he was safe, though, the tourist quickly turned on a cocky facade — as if he hadn’t narrowly escaped a grisly demise.

“It was really close, man. I think it liked me, actually,” he could be heard telling someone off-camera.

Park officials urge visitors to stay at least 25 feet away from the roaming bison and strongly warn tourists not to provoke the powerful beasts.

Still, the unidentified tourist in the clip had the gall to try not once, but twice.

The first time, the pea-brained thrill-seeker apparently didn’t get the response he desired from the bull. He tried to taunt the bison the second time around, which was recorded.

Other tourists haven’t been so lucky.

This year alone, two men from New Jersey and Florida were gored by bison at Yellowstone after getting too close to the wild animals in seperate incidents.

Even some of the bison themselves aren’t safe in the parks.

In June, a bison was boiled to death after walking into a hot spring, while a group of shocked visitors watched in horror.
