Nationwide home goods retailer At Home has announced plans to close six additional locations as it navigates Chapter 11 bankruptcy, bringing the current number of store closures to 32.

At Home will close stores in Council Bluffs, Iowa; Lake in the Hills, Illinois; Bloomington, Indiana; Ypsilanti, Michigan; Ocean Township, New Jersey; and West Bountiful, Utah, according to a news release from Hilco Consumer, the company managing its bankruptcy.

“Store Closing” sales are already underway.

“These six stores are offering some of the best deals shoppers will see all year — but only for a short time,” a Hilco spokesperson said. “Customers who want the best selection on furniture, décor, and seasonal finds should shop early before the most popular items disappear.”

In its bankruptcy filing in June, At Home cited “the rapidly changing tariff landscape, persistent macroeconomic headwinds, and internal pressures.”

It also cited lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift in consumer preferences away from brick-and-mortar stores to online shopping. It operated 260 stores in 40 states at the time of its filing.
