We’re not quite sure when it happened, but red sneakers have become the most wearable shoe trend of 2025. By offering a splash of color at just the right point, they can completely change even the most basic of looks. That’s the power of a red sneaker. They’ll transform an outfit with a single gesture and catch the eye without the slightest effort. Comfortable and a visual statement at the same time, red sneakers have become the new “neutral.”

We’ve seen the accessory on all the cool girls as of late. Emily Ratajkowski and Rita Ora paired theirs with a minimalist black set and a sporty tennis skirt, respectively. Livvy Dunne, meanwhile, went with suede shorts and a little white top, while Bella Hadid kept hers casual with classic denim cut-offs. All prove just how versatile a red sneaker can be.

On the streets, we’re seeing red sneakers dressed for the office, the weekend, and everything in between. It turns out they can ground a silk dress and structured handbag as much as they elevate a T-shirt and matching crew socks.

Red sneakers aren’t just a summer flirtation, either. As we head into fall, we expect to see the shoe continue its hold over the style set. Pair yours with a sand-colored trench coat or your favorite jeans, or use as a pop of with an oversized suit. Extra points if you add matching accessories, like a red bag or bracelets.

The other nice thing about this trend? The color and style of the shoe can vary. Go for a bright Ferrari red, a warm brick hue, a cheerful cherry, or a two-tone pair like Hadid’s pictured above. A retro design is as fashionable as a more modern shoe. Whatever you chose, you’re guaranteed to have a look full of personality.
