Meghan Markle’s Netflix deal ending, but they’re still making jam together: ‘Plenty coming up’

Meghan Markle will remain shackled to Netflix as they are in business together through her lifestyle range, As ever, sources told Page Six.

Although the Sussexes’ exclusive deal with the streamer — at one time reported to be worth $100m — will end later this year, as we revealed, they are poised to sign a ‘first look’ deal on future projects.

However, the new deal has so far attracted little fanfare.

“When the Obamas moved from an exclusive deal to a ‘first look’ deal, Netflix issued press releases and made a huge fuss about it. It’s not the same with Meghan and Harry. They’ve barely even acknowledged it,” a TV insider told The Post.

Netflix has ploughed a significant amount into Markle’s As ever line, sources noted, so they’re unlikely to abandon it.

Her first batch of products included teas, honey, jams and infamously, flower sprinkles. All products, which were made in limited runs, sold out in minutes.

A source revealed there is no expiration date on the As ever, deal, adding, “They’re NOT done, they have plenty coming up together.

“I cannot imagine that Meghan and Netflix went into business together just for a year or two.”

The revenue Markle makes from As ever is separate to the couple’s TV deal and she shares the cash with Netflix, we’re told.

Despite their huge success in March when they were released, none of the initial products sold have since been re-stocked and the As ever website remains sold out.

Last month, Markle also launched her rosé wine, which also quickly sold out and received great reviews from our panel. It was produced in collaboration with Fairwinds Estate Winery in Calistoga, according to Falstaff and Wine Spectator.

We’re told there will be an As ever holiday range and at some point, more wine.

Although the deal that Prince Harry and his wife signed with Netflix has said to be worth $100 million, industry sources have continued to stress behind the scenes it’s only about $20 million, and makes up a big chunk of their annual income, as Page Six reported.

Markle had first named her range, American Riviera Orchard, but the brand faced a slew of trademark issues — and questions over whether its products were actually organic, as advertised.

Netflix took over production, as a Hollywood source previously told us, “The more that Netflix is getting into live events, the more this kind of thing makes sense for their future.

Netflix began offering an ad-supported subscription tier in November 2022 and, the source added, “They’re working with advertisers now, which gives them more opportunity to have mutually beneficial partnerships like this.”

Markle filmed “With Love, Meghan” — which celebrates “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship,” according to Netflix — around California and at the sprawling home of Tom and Sherrie Cipolla, philanthropists who are both fixtures on the Montecito society scene, where the retired royals live.

It returns for a second season in September, although it was filmed concurrently with the first season. Although it it appeared on Netflix’s Top 10 list briefly, the show did not crack the streamer’s top 300 most-watched titles in the first half of 2025.

Despite this, sources pointed out it still made the top five percent of shows.

“I would not be surprised if it returns for a third season,” an industry insider mooted.
