Wendy’s and Netflix’s “Wednesday” series have collaborated on a new menu item in celebration of the series’ upcoming second season debut.
Crafted by Wednesday Addams herself, the meal includes “Rest in 10-Piece Nuggets,” “Cursed & Crispy Fries,” two randomly selected “Dips of Dread” mystery sauces, and a “Raven’s Blood Frosty,” all served in Wednesday-themed packaging.
In true Addams fashion, there’s “nothing happy about this meal,” according to Wendy’s.
The themed meal launches just ahead of the Part 1 premiere of “Wednesday” Season 2 on Netflix, scheduled for Aug. 6. The meal will also be available starting Aug. 4 in the U.S.
“Wendy’s and Wednesday are both cultural icons famous for challenging convention with wit and a bit of sass,” said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer at Wendy’s. “This isn’t a typical collaboration, because not just any brand could scheme up a Meal of Misfortune with Wednesday Addams.”
A “Wednesday” themed drive-thru experience will also take over a Wendy’s location in Norwalk, located at 12138 Imperial Hwy on July 31. The experience will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
For those seeking more than just food, the U.S. version of the Wendy’s app will feature an interactive game called “Escape from Wednesday’s Woe.” The game allows users to dodge misfortune and unlock exclusive rewards, including a chance to win $10,000.
The Meal of Misfortune will be available for a limited time only.
