EXCLUSIVE: Alexander Alberts has joined Jerry Bruckheimer Television as Vice President.

Set to work on both development and current series, Alberts comes to the company from Starz, where he served as Director, Original Programming. During his time there, he worked with JBTV on their series Hightown, which debuted on Netflix this week and currently sits at #7 on the list of the Top 10 Shows in the U.S.

JBTV CEO KristieAnne Reed observed, in her prior work with Alberts, that he “consistently demonstrated sharp creative instincts and a deep understanding of what resonates with audiences. He shares Jerry’s passion and ambition for developing compelling series that thrive across both network and streaming platforms.”

Alberts began his career at Starz as an assistant in 2017, also during his time there working on shows like Shining Vale, P-Valley, Hunting Wives, Heels, American Gods Season 3, Spartacus: House of Ashur, and the reboot of Party Down. He will report to Reed, joining a team that also includes SVPs Danielle Kreinik and Asher Landay, and VP Chelsea Sabella.

Set to take over Fridays on CBS this fall with Fire Country Season 4, followed by the series premieres of Sheriff Country and Boston Blue, Jerry Bruckheimer Television’s 10-time Emmy Award winner The Amazing Race also returns to the network, where the company has had an overall deal since 2017, this fall. With around 2,000 episodes produced, the company’s shows have garnered over 140 Emmy nominations and 23 wins. Recently, the company has been developing an English-language adaptation of hit South Korean series Extraordinary Attorney Woo for Netflix, with Leila Gerstein aboard as writer and executive producer, as we told you first.
