Born and raised in Los Angeles, XLARGE is teaming up this summer with Takumi Ramen for an exciting new collaboration in Europe. XLARGE tapped the fast-casual restaurant chain, which is rapidly expanding with 70 locations across the continent, for its first-ever apparel collaboration. To kick off the partnership, the brand custom-designed staff uniforms for Takumi Ramen and delivered a T-shirt design now available to the public.
From Tokyo’s underground music scene and the rise of hi-fi listening bars to the bustling izakayas lining its streets, XLARGE’s special edition tee with Takumi Ramen pays tribute to the city’s fast-paced slurp-and-go ramen culture that sets the rhythm of its streets. The uniform-inspired T-shirt design features XLARGE’s gorilla icon at the front panel and “Sapporo Ramen” lettering, spotlighting the restaurant’s classic dish. The T-shirt arrives in white and black colorways, accompanied by a variety pack of branded stickers in green, red, black, orange and blue.
Takumi Ramen was founded in 2007 in Düsseldorf, Germany. With the motto, “No Ramen, No Life,” it has since gained recognition for its warm, flavor-packed broths and Japanese street-style food. To celebrate the collaboration, XLARGE and Takumi Ramen held a special event in Berlin that blended food, fashion, and music. “Japanese quality meets global culture.” This collaboration marks a bold step forward for XLARGE — a project that fuses fashion and ramen into a global cultural phenomenon.
