Blackpink’s Rosé caused a stir in New York City this weekend, stepping out in two minimalist outfits that perfectly capture how to ace ’90s and early ’00s trends in 2025.

The K-pop star’s first look included barrel jeans, a sheer white top that subtly revealed her black bra, and a pair of leather flip-flops. Flip-flops are enjoying a resurgence in popularity this summer, spurred on not only by the girls who can’t keep their hands off them but also by the fashion houses and designers who have chosen to adorn their collections with these oh so early-aughts shoes, from Chanel to Alaïa and The Row.

Still wearing her leather flip-flops, Rosé stepped out again in a similar look, swapping her flowy white top for a black lace camisole, a piece that has fashionistas in a frenzy this season. In keeping with the city-ready lingerie trend, the camisole features spaghetti straps, lace trim, and sheer panels. The singer-songwriter paired it with a slim brown leather belt buckled over the cami, and her barrel-leg jeans.

The addition of a belt completely transforms the look, hiding the high rise of the barrel jeans (making them all the more versatile in your closet) and bridging the gap between the dressier cami with the casual jeans-and-flip-flop combo. The best part? Though these outfits leave very different impressions, the only difference is the top and the accessories. Even Rosé’s black bra is visible in both looks. Now this is how you do day-to-night dressing.
