Dijon has been busy – really busy.
Typically a super lowkey guy who flies fully under the radar (unless it’s time to grace us with a release), the enigmatic artist has had quite an eventful two weeks.
To backtrack, in the past 14 days alone, the genre-bending musician has been noticeably nudged into the mainstream with his contributions to Justin Bieber’s surprise album SWAG, offering his production hand to a good portion of the album (“THINGS YOU DO,” “DAISIES” and “YUKON” incuded) as well as a vocal feature on one of the album’s high points, “DEVOTION.”
As if the deluge of new music wasn’t enough, just last week, fans caught sight of Dijon in a new trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s forthcoming war film, One Battle After Another. Dijon is seen sitting next to the film’s star, Leonardo DiCaprio, for a brief, few-second-long clip. But similarly to how Dijon fans can almost immediately tell if the musician had a hand in a song’s production based on a singular guitar riff, Dijon fans will spot the musician even if he merely flashes the screen for an instant.
While fans continued to reel in the most front-facing Dijon content we’ve gotten in years, he took to his Instagram story to share the news everyone has been anxiously anticipating since Absolutely‘s release in 2021. The musician shared a tentative tracklist for his new project, which seems to be titled BABY, with the playlist titled “BABY [MASTERS].” Other titles include “HIGHER,” “FREAKIT!,” and “YAMAHA.”
Unfortunately, that’s all the info we have at the time on BABY, but stay tuned as more information on Dijon’s new project surfaces.
