A Delta Airlines co-pilot was reportedly taken into custody shortly after landing at San Francisco International Airport Saturday, according to multiple media reports.

Flight 2809 from Minneapolis to SFO was briefly delayed as fog in the Bay Area created low visibility conditions but safely made it to the gate less than 10 minutes late, travel outlet View from the Wing reported.

Before anyone was allowed off the Boeing 757, a passenger reported watching around 10 federal agents, including Homeland Security Investigations and others identifying as Federal Air Marshals, “stormed to the front” of the plane and arrested one of the co-pilots.

So far, the co-pilot has not been identified.

The remaining pilot, who can be seen in an image posted by the outlet watching the incident unfold from inside the cockpit, reportedly said was he had no idea what was happening.

A snippet of cellphone footage shows some of the federal agents in plainclothes wearing badges, though their faces were not in the frame and it is unclear if they were wearing masks.

“A group of people with badges, guns, and different agency vests/markings were pushing their way up through the aisle to the cockpit,” one passenger told the San Francisco Chronicle.

At least one news outlet in Minnesota has reported that the co-pilot was arrested on charges related to child sexual abuse material, though, so far, there has been no official confirmation of that from authorities.

Reached for comment, Delta Airlines told KTLA that it was deferring all questions about the incident to law enforcement.

KTLA has reached out to the Department of Homeland Security and is awaiting a response.
