Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc starts third, followed by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who won Saturday’s Sprint race and is the likeliest driver to take down the two strong McLarens of Norris and Piastri.
Alexander Albon starts fifth beside Mercedes driver George Russell. Yuki Tsunoda — Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate — starts seventh, a surprise considering the team wasn’t able to install upgrades in his car until the last minute.
Isack Hadjar, Liam Lawson, and Gabriel Bortoleto round out the top 10 on the starting grid.
Lewis Hamilton, who scored the win here last year, starts way back in 16th after his final qualifying lap was deleted and he was forced out of Q1. Hamilton has won this race five times while Verstappen has three wins here. Leclerc was the 2019 winner, while no one else in this field has scored a Formula 1 win at Spa. Can someone else etch his name into the record books, likely one of the McLarens? Tune in Sunday to find out.
