Listen up, fartknockers: The coolest uncool kids on the block are back.

Comedy Central deployed the first trailer today for Season 3 of Mike Judge‘s Beavis and Butt-head and set its premiere for September 3. Have a look above.

Series creator, writer, producer and voice provider Mike Judge is back with more stupid human tricks. The trailer shows our anti-heroes as uber-wealthy dolts who are out to “buy Metallica.” When James Hetfield gives them his price, he pays a painful price. Later, we see the teen duo as aliens, Butt-head finally loses his braces, the guys age up and BH bulks up, and Cornholio’s TP thievery gets him tased.

In other words, the boys are back in town. Lock up your valuables. And your sanity.

Judge introduced his iconic slacker duo way back in 1993, debuting on MTV’s toon mashup Liquid Television. Later that year, Beavis and Butt-head got their series on the erstwhile music channel, running for seven seasons over four years. An eighth season popped up in 2011, 15 years after the duo’s feature film Beavis and Butt-head Do America. A second movie, Beavis and Butt-head Do the Universe launched in 2022.

Today’s trailer and date announcement comes a day after Comedy Central launched Season 27 of another lo-fi ’90s-spawned toon, South Park. Wednesday’s episode skewered Donald Trump and Comedy Central parent company Paramount Global just days after the latter announced the cancellation of the Trump-bashing CBS late-night talker The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Coincidentally, that franchise also launched in 1993. Coincidence or conspiracy?

Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head is executive-produced by Judge, Lew Morton and Michael Rotenberg, and Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina and Antonio Canobbio for Titmouse.
