Update: At last, it’s time for 2007’s Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” to make a comeback. We’ve been discussing this for nearly a year and now the Swoosh has offered a complete preview of what to expect from the sneaker. Look out for it to land on shelves via Nike SNKRS and select retailers on August 15 with a retail price of $230 USD.
Update: 15 years later, the Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” is finally set to return. The 2007 design saw a re-release just three years after its debut, however, it notably had its red outsole replaced by a semi-translucent one. Now, with a first look at the 2025 version of the shoe, we can confirm that this change has been reverted this time around as a solid red backs the otherwise black sneaker. The shoe is now expected to release this fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $230 USD. Stay tuned for more updates, including official images of the kicks, and revisit our initial breakdown below for more info.

Original Story: Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” is rumored to release next year, adding to an already long list of drops that are set for 2025. The black and varsity red colorway first hit retailers in 2007 and was later nicknamed “Cough Drop” in 2010. According to Elden Monitors and House of Heat, the pair is slated to receive a 2025 iteration that will see the same black Foamposite material highlighted with fiery tones on the underfoot, tongue and heel tabs, Penny Hardaway logo and the Swoosh logos. It has almost been 15 years since the shoe was on the shelf and only time will tell if the Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” will release again next year.
