‘Ungendered’ activist claims GLP-1s are ‘fascist’ and ‘genocide fat people’ in unhinged moment during DSA conference

They’re declaring war on Ozempic!

In a completely jaw-dropping moment at the recent Democratic Socialists of America-backed Socialism 2026 conference in Chicago, an unhinged radical made the outlandish claim that GLP-1 drugs are “fascist” because they “genocide fat people.”

“The political deployment of GLP-1s is fascistic, not because individuals take them, but because the conditions under which they become necessary are shaped by a world fixated on genociding fat people,” proclaimed Atlanta activist Da’Shaun L. Harrison.

The extremist claimed the drugs, like Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro — which were developed to treat diabetes are credited with lowering the risk of death from heart attack or stroke by 20% in high-risk patients — exist “to sustain a social order in which fat people are monitored, restricted, guilted, stolen from and punished.”

“Body fascism is not some relic from the past, it’s an active feature of modern imperial regimes,” lambasted Harrison, who proudly plasters their Instagram page with snaps of their swimsuit-clad overweight body. “Every time a government decides whose bodies must be protected and whose bodies must be erased for the sake of national imagery, this is body fascism.”

Harrison, a self-described “ungendered” author and “trans theorist,” who penned the 2022 book, “Belly of the Beast: The Politics of Anti-Fatness as Anti-Blackness,” spoke at the conference attended by more than 3,000 comrades from across the country.

“We have to give up the fantasy of being fitter than the fascists,” chimed in Beatrice Adler-Bolton, another crazed speaker on the “Health Fascism, Body Politics, and the Anti-State State” panel.

“Fitness is a measure of relative disposability under capitalism. Our task is not to become less disposable to become more useful to the ruling order…The point is not to beat the fascists at their own game. It is not to lay a better claim on their own territory by being fitter, more eugenic,” she said.

“In fact, the more dysgenic, the better, I think,” she declared, using a term for the supposed worsening of a population’s genetic traits through reproduction.

Alder-Bolton, who appeared at last year’s socialism conference on a panel about UnitedHealthcare CEO murderer Luigi Mangione titled “Deny, Defend, Depose: Health Struggle After Luigi,” is the co-author of “Health Communism” and is doing a master’s degree at CUNY in disability studies.

“Revolution is not a contest between optimized and properly prepared bodies. That idea is fascist in and of itself,” she went on, before invoking Hamas founder Ahmed Yassin, who became quadriplegic at 16, as an example of a “disabled revolutionary.”

“Show me a leader in the Palestinian resistance who does not encounter debility at one point in their life,” she said. “Our debilitated, imperfect bodies are far more threatening to power than we are led to believe.”

Experts said the off-the-wall remarks are part of the far left’s mission to tear down traditional Western culture.

“These are people who are just so unhappy with anything that resembles the status quo or normalcy, they have to signal against anything they think is not their revolutionary project,” Stu Smith, investigative analyst at the Manhattan Institute, told The Post.

“And that’s how you get to things getting so twisted that you are now seeing medical innovations as a fascistic genocidal negative. It’s really its own cult.”

“You can’t always view every single thing through this crazy, woke lens — the critical theory lens,” he added.

“I didn’t expect to see this to turn into a giant left infighting moment, which it did. I had people even saying that these are CIA operatives meant to destroy the left — that’s how bad some of the people on the left viewed this.”

Harrison and Alder-Boulton did not return The Post’s requests for comment.
