Southern Hospitality‘s Will Kulp will not appear in the Bravo reality series’ forthcoming fourth season, slamming the show as a “horrible experience and a life lesson” as he announced his departure.

The decision is perhaps unsurprising, given that the future lawyer and former Republic Garden & Lounge bartender was notably absent during Season 3’s reunion episode, hosted by Andy Cohen in March. The January-premiering third season of the show — about a group of friends in Charleston, S.C. working at Leva Bonaparte’s crown jewel nightclub on King Street — saw Kulp face allegations of a cheating scandal with now-fiancée Emmy Sharrett.

Taking to his Instagram Stories yesterday, per Parade, Kulp wrote in full: “A little update: The new season has started filming, and unsurprisingly, I will not be a part of it this year. I will likely never film a second of reality TV ever again. It has been a horrible experience and a life lesson.”

“A big thanks to some cast, some production, Andy Cohen and ALL of the crew for the seasons past. You know who you are. Your kindness and professionalism are rare occurrences in the industry.”

“Best of luck to this new season. I hope it can be entertaining without a defamatory storyline or unwanted use of my name, image, and likeness,” Kulp continued. “When it is appropriate, I will talk more about experiences with production and the network which led to this decision.”

He concluded, “I am happy to be moving on and I will be cheering Emmy on from the sidelines with the rest of you.”

First premiering in 2022, Southern Hospitality saw recent ratings wins for the cable network, with Season 3 up 22% from its previous installment’s overall audience average, becoming Bravo’s first original series to grow in each of its first three seasons since 2018.
