EXCLUSIVE: Lucy Blakiston, the founder of S**t You Should Care About, has signed with WME for representation in all areas.

The deal represents WME’s latest partnership with an outside agency, with Blakiston’s current rep Diving Bell remaining her “primary management and strategic partner.” WME will mainly focus on expanding Blakiston’s presence in the States. The agency said it will “work in close partnership” with Diving Bell, which reps “purpose-driven voices in digital media, publishing and broadcasting.”

S**t You Should Care About was launched several years back as an online news platform that “cuts through the bulls**t.” With millions of followers across Instagram, TikTok and Substack, the platform is positioned towards helping young people better understand the news, with regular free newsletters and podcasts.

Millie Webber, WME digital agent, said Blakiston is a “unique voice in today’s media.” “In a world of doomscrolling, Lucy has cut through the noise, making the overwhelming headlines feel human and accessible,” she added. “Spanning from global politics to pop culture, SYSCA has become a global media hub for millions.”

Diving Bell co-founders Justin Girdler and Kim Butler said it has “been a joy to help shape and support Lucy’s journey to building one of the world’s most important youth media platforms, full of both attitude and compassion.”

The partnership is one of a spate of recent co-deals WME has struck with UK talent. The American shop recently partnered with the UK’s MVE to co-sign Love Island UK star Uma Jammeh and TikTok creator Ellie Evelyn.
