HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A dog-friendly restaurant in Huntsville is closing its doors.
Hound and Harvest is a dog-friendly restaurant that offers a variety of food options, including the Chilean Chicken Bowl, Forage Bowl and Surf & Turf Tacos. Hound & Harvest also served breakfast, including bowls, avocado toast and house-made granola cereal.
The restaurant announced last week that it would be closing its doors.
On the final day of business, the bistro was packed with people wanting the last taste of the food.
Jarrod Rhoades Jr. has worked at Hound and Harvest since September 2023. On the last day of business, he reflected on the two-year run of the restaurant.
“We’ve changed over the years a lot,” Rhoades said. “We started out as a countertop business, and then a year, a couple months later, we went to table service.”
Rhoades said that he will miss his coworkers and customers dearly.
“The staff and the people I meet, especially our customers, all fantastic people, I love working with each and every one of them,” Rhoades said. “‘I will miss it forever and ever.”
Restaurant owners said that a liquidation of all assets will take place on Sunday, July 20. This will be by appointment only. You call (256)-384-5135 to schedule a time.
