Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry has been one of the faces of the NBA for years. He has continually played at an elite level and is one of the few players to change the entire game of basketball.

When he came into the league, Curry’s three-point shooting took the NBA by storm. His impact as a shooter resonated with young fans and has made the league and leagues underneath the professional level focus more heavily on perimeter shooting.

Even at 37 years old, Curry has remained dominant. However, there are some questions about how much longer he has left playing in the NBA.

Last season, Curry helped lead his Warriors team to the playoffs. He led a first round upset win over the No. 2-seeded Houston Rockets before suffering a hamstring injury in Game 1 of their second round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Unfortunately, Golden State was unable to overcome Curry’s injury and was quickly eliminated by the Timberwolves.

Throughout the course of the regular season, Curry played in 70 games. He averaged 24.5 points per game to go along with six assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. Curry also shot 44.8 percent from the floor and 39.7 percent from distance.

Those numbers show that he’s still capable of being one of the elite superstars in the league.

With that being said, Curry spoke out recently about his NBA future. He revealed how he’s approaching the eventual end of his career and how he manages his timeline.

“I don’t know,” Curry responded when asked how much longer he plans to play. “I’m just taking it two years at a time. That’s what I have left on my contract right now.”

At the very least, that suggests that the superstar guard plans to play for two more years. After his contract is up, he will likely consider his options and make a decision from there.

Curry’s career has been nothing short of amazing. He is the record-holder for most three-pointers made in a career and currently has 4,058.

In the 1,026 games and 1,020 starts Curry has played in during his career, he has averaged 24.7 points, 6.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. He has also shot 42.3 percent from the three-point line throughout his career.
