The Denver Broncos made a strong run during the 2024 NFL season. Led by rookie quarterback Bo Nix, the Broncos were one of the biggest surprises in the league and made it all the way to the playoffs and finished the regular season with a 10-7 record.
While they lost in the Wild Card round to the Buffalo Bills, the future looks incredibly bright for Denver.
Nix lived up to the hype that surrounded him entering his first season. He not only played well, but was the clear-cut leader for the team.
Heading into his second NFL season, Nix is not being slept on. Now that the league knows what he’s capable of, the expectations are beginning to rise.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has now spoken out about Nix. He is clearly expecting a big second season from the former Oregon standout.
In a post on X, Griffin did not hold back about his opinion of Nix.
“After watching all of his film from last year, Bo Nix is the most underrated QB in the NFL,” Griffin said.
Griffin may very well be right. Nix isn’t talked about as a top quarterback in the NFL yet, but he might become that kind of player during the 2025 campaign.
As a rookie in 2024, Nix played in all 17 regular season games. He completed 66.3 percent of his pass attempts for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, while also running for 430 yards and four more touchdowns.

Not only did Nix play well, he also happens to be in a great situation. Playing for a head coach like Sean Payton is a young quarterback’s dream. The work that Payton put in with legendary quarterback Drew Brees is very well known.
It will be interesting to see what Nix is able to do when facing higher expectations. He still has a talented offseason around him, although there are some who believe the Broncos should still target another weapon for the second-year quarterback.
Regardless of what happens in the 2025 NFL season, Denver has a franchise quarterback on the roster. Hopefully, he’s able to take the next step and the Broncos are able to not just make the playoffs, but also win a playoff game or more.
