Colin Jost had the best reaction to his wife, Scarlett Johansson, kissing Jonathan Bailey in viral red carpet photos last month.
The “Saturday Night Live” star joked that he and the actor might need to “close the loop” with a smooch of their own.
“Jonathan and I, at the [‘Jurassic World Rebirth’] red carpet, we were like, ‘I guess we have to kiss now? Is that what happens?’” the comedian, 43, told “Entertainment Tonight” on Thursday.
Jost quipped, “I guess in ‘Jurassic Park’ terms, the attack always comes from the raptor you never thought was there. Of all the threats out there, I wasn’t thinking it was Jonathan.”
He pointed out that Bailey, 37, “didn’t seem like the biggest threat” to his marriage to Johansson, 40, as an “out gay man.”
Jost feigned relief, noting, “I think it’s going to be OK.”
The “Weekend Update” co-anchor sobered up for a moment to point out that “people really blow it out of proportion when someone kisses their friend hello.”
Johansson and Bailey were first photographed locking lips while greeting each other at the London premiere of their new movie in June.
The duo did the same while promoting the franchise’s latest film in New York City the following week — right in front of Jost.
When Bailey was asked about the headline-making moments by “Entertainment Tonight” later that same month, he defended kissing his pal.
“I believe in being able to show love in all different ways,” the “Bridgerton” alum explained. “And if you can’t kiss your friends … life’s too short not to.”
Although the Emmy nominee is not publicly in a relationship, he teased one in an Evening Standard interview in 2023.
At the time, Bailey was dating a “lovely man.”
As for Johansson and Jost, the duo have been married since 2020 and share a 3-year-old son named Cosmo.
The actress is also the mother of daughter Rose, 10, whom she co-parents with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
