The second round of the Genesis Scottish Open is set to begin on Friday at the Renaissance Club, after four players all share the lead after carding opening rounds of 64.

Nicolas Echavarria, Jake Knapp, Sepp Straka, and Victor Perez all sit at -6 after one round of play, but the field is still bunched up with 28 other players all within three strokes of the lead.
The stars did their best to stay in contention on Thursday, and Scottie Scheffler (-3), Rory McIlroy (-2), Xander Schauffele (-2), Collin Morikawa (-2), and Justin Thomas (-1) all kept themselves in the running with decent showings before heading into day two.
A couple of sleepers to keep an eye on as we approach the weekend are Wyndham Clark and Viktor Hovland. Both have proven they can compete on the largest stages and played well in their opening rounds. At -4, they are in prime position to make a run for the top of the leaderboard before the cuts heading into Saturday.
