PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Two Athens men were arrested on multiple drug charges after a traffic stop on Monday.
Priceville Police pulled over a black Ford Mustang along I-65 SB at the 334-mile marker offramp around 8 p.m. Police mentioned that the vehicle did not have a license plate.
After speaking with the two people inside the vehicle, a narcotics field investigation began.
Upon further investigation, officers found a fentanyl/methamphetamine mixture, methamphetamine, opioid tablets, a small amount of marijuana, various drug paraphernalia, and bundled U.S. currency inside the vehicle.
As a result, Mickey Antonio Bott, 43, and Matthew Daniel Bailey, 41, both of Athens, were arrested.
Bott faces charges of trafficking dangerous drugs, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, with a bond set at $135,000.
Bailey has been charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, with a bond set at $125,000.
Bott and Bailey were both transported to the Morgan County Jail.
