Vegas has dropped to eighth place as the team has struggled to replace Kelsey Plum, who was traded in the offseason. Thursday night saw the team lose in blowout fashion to the Indiana Fever, falling 81-54 despite the Fever being without Caitlin Clark.
A’ja Wilson was on her game as always, scoring 29 points in the loss, but her teammates completely let her down. The highest scorer outside of Wilson was Jackie Young, who scored just six points. Overall, the non-Wilson players combined didn’t even make double-digit field goals.
Connecticut has lost nine in a row. Last time out, the team was blown out by the Lynx, losing 102-63. It was the fourth game in a row that Connecticut lost by double digits. Aneesah Morrow led the team in scoring with 16 points. She also pulled down 11 rebounds as the lone bright spot in the loss.
