Wimbledon’s Round of 16 takes place on Sunday morning in the U.S., a morning of tennis that will feature stars such as Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner.
Sinner, the first Italian tennis player to be ranked atop the ATP standings, has been on fire in Wimbledon this year, not dropping a single set through three rounds so far. If Sinner gets past Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov on Sunday, he will reach the quarterfinals at a grand slam event for a seventh straight time.
Sinner smoked Spain’s Pedro Martínez, defeating him 6-1, 6-3, 6-1, to reach the Round of 16 at Wimbledon.

Women’s No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka won a close match against England’s Emma Raducanu to advance to the round of 16, defeating her 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, in front of what was a hostile crowd that was cheering for the local Raducanu. On Sunday, Sabalenka will face Belgium’s Elise Mertens, the No. 24 seed in this year’s Wimbledon.
Meanwhile, on the men’s side, we have another fascinating matchup that will take place on Sunday when we see young Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz, the No. 2 seed, face Taylor Fritz, the No. 5 seed. Alcaraz is looking to win Wimbledon for a third straight year, as the young Spaniard is a two-time reigning champion at the event, a ridiculous proposition considering Alcaraz is still just 22 years old.
Tune to ESPN at 6:00 a.m. ET on Sunday morning for Round of 16 Wimbledon action, from the historic All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
