Electric Forest 2025 was a kaleidoscopic wonderland of light and sound. Neon rays emitting from Sherwood Forest served as a mesmerizing backdrop to Vooglam’s special pop-up activation, where the eyewear brand introduced its latest music-inspired Cult Vision collection. Immersive experiences curated for festivalgoers captured the spirit of the renowned EDM music festival while showcasing Vooglam’s eclectic design ethos.
With the Michigan sun departing around eight at night, the brand’s pop-up booth stylishly provided respite from the heat, along with interactive activities that encouraged authentic self-expression. The Cult Vision collection, which arrived alongside a digital zine dedicated to contemporary “style tribes,” explores youth culture through the lens of music. The playful range channels modern aesthetics that riff on popular genres, like hip-hop/rap, country/indie, rock and EDM. The Rave Culture capsule — entirely dedicated to the BPM-driven world of electronic, house, drum and bass, techno, dubstep, trance and more — offers vibrant, dopamine-inducing colorways to fit any mood or vibe. The rave-themed frames, replete with customizable lens options, pack plenty of personality and utility, including standout designs “Fuzz,” “Ayomide,” “Faridah” and “Wave.”
Vooglam’s activation brought an extra dose of unconventionality to the party amidst the candy-colored light shows, sculptural installations and dazzling festival fashion. The custom photo booth featured an interactive screen where you could choose from different psychedelic AR environments to capture photo and video content. Guests could sign up for exclusive Vooglam content and win tokens in exchange for merch using the booth’s QR code. Hair accessories, beaded bracelets, metal chains and more emboldened guests to step outside their comfort zones and elevate their looks. And for those who love artistic expression in the form of ink, the energetic Vooglam squad eagerly assisted guests with applying temporary tattoos and facial glitter. A mini DJ booth saw attendees and media personalities creating sonic light shows using a faux deck while striking a pose in Vooglam’s signature styles.
Anticipated sets by Nia Archives, 1tbsp, Fcukers, and more drew partygoers clad in expressive, multi-colored ensembles and majestic costumes inspired by mythical folklore, fantasy, gaming franchises and anime. Mind-bending attractions inside the Dream Emporium — a trippy time capsule featuring scavenger hunts, side quests, burlesque parlors and a disco skating rink — encouraged guests to stretch their imaginations within dynamic social environments. At night, Vooglam’s booth illuminated the forest floor, the thumping bass of Sherwood Court soundtracking the start of the festival’s after-hour rave experience.
Cult Vision’s statement-making styles harken back to the nostalgic Tumblr era and post-internet moments in pop culture, championing fashion subcultures that embrace the connecting power of music. Vooglam’s activation embodied the festival’s ethos of inclusivity and self-discovery, drawing a fashionable crowd unafraid to push the bounds of their creativity.
