Florida sicko arrested for raping young employee aboard his yacht in Nantucket hours after wife, son left

A Florida sicko allegedly drugged and raped a young female employee aboard his yacht moored in Nantucket Harbor just hours after his wife and son had left the tony Massachusetts island.

Christian Bradley Williams, 54, was arraigned Friday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 22-year-old woman on his boat on Aug. 9 — shortly after his wife, 2-year-old son and nanny returned to Florida, according to a police report obtained by the Nantucket Current.

The victim, who has not been publicly identified, only began working aboard Williams’ yacht, the “Chimera,” as a deckhand through Nantucket Launch Company in June.

After his family departed the boat, Williams allegedly asked the employee around 4:15 p.m. “to put on a dress” as he wanted “to go somewhere nice,” according to the police report.

The employee told police “that when Christian saw her in the dress that he stated, ‘Wow, you look amazing,’ which is when the victim first began to sense that something may be wrong,” the report said.

Williams reportedly told the woman he “didn’t want [his wife] knowing they were going out to dinner” and later commented how he always “wanted to make a move” on his wife’s friend, the report said.

Throughout the night, Williams reportedly made a slew of sleazy comments including “Hey sweety” and “You’re my sugar mommy tonight,” as well as saying the victim’s boyfriend, who had already left the island for the summer, was “stupid for not locking you down, you’re so beautiful.”

Around 8 p.m. the employee said “she began to get really nervous regarding Christian and told him that ‘I want to go back now,’” the report said, adding that Williams then got the woman to put down her card for the restaurant bill, saying, “I don’t want [my wife] seeing my transaction.”

After departing the restaurant, Williams withdrew $500 in cash and gave it to the employee despite the check being only $250, according to the report.

Williams tried to persuade the woman to go out for another drink, but she said she wanted to go back to the boat, where she had been staying during her employment.

Once they were back on the boat, the woman told Williams she was going to bed at around 8:30 p.m., but he became “very persistent” that they have one more drink together.

Williams allegedly made a rum drink and then they went upstairs, by which point the 22-year-old reiterated that she didn’t want to be anywhere near him.

The woman told police that after drinking the rum beverage, she became very dizzy and lost her vision and noted that she only had one alcoholic drink at the restaurant, which was her second drink of the day.

She said Williams was then on top of her with his full body weight before sexually assaulting her, the report states.

During the alleged assault, the woman told police she said, “I’m your employee, please get off me,” while he was forcefully holding her down.

The sicko then took the young employee to his bed and she passed out as soon as her head hit the pillow, the report said.

When she woke up, the woman noticed evidence of sexual assault on her body and later told her employer and owner of the Nantucket Launch Company, Max Shapiro, that she was “naked and bleeding” in Williams’ bed, the report said.

After being picked up by a launch captain and returning to the dock, the woman allegedly said to Shapiro, “You set me up with this housing,” to which she said he replied, “Why are you telling me this? Get to work, are you clocked in?” according to the police report.

The company owner reportedly later told the woman to “clock out and go home,” but she said she was quitting.

Shapiro denied his employee’s retelling of their conversation.

“The recap of the conversation on the dock is not at all accurate,” he said in a statement to The Post. “I know there is an active police investigation, and we are supporting the investigation in every way possible. I am not going to comment any further out of respect and concern to [the victim] and the investigation.”

After quitting, the woman then walked away from the dock crying and told her father on the phone, “something bad just happened on the boat. I was assaulted. I need you to pick me up,” the report said.

The victim then walked to Nantucket Cottage Hospital and underwent a sexual assault examination, which was completed around 10 a.m.

Several weeks later, the hospital examination came back from the Massachusetts State Police forensics laboratory on Sept. 1 “positive for male DNA,” according to the police report.

Williams was later “located and placed under arrest,” the report said, without providing the specific date he was nabbed.

The Florida native was charged with three counts of rape and indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14 stemming from the alleged rape on Aug. 9, the Nantucket Current reported.

Williams — who has ties to the US Navy and previously was the commander of the USS Springfield submarine, according to Facebook photos and posts — was arraigned on Friday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He was being held on $50,000 cash bail or $500,000 surety, but his attorney Tom Kokonowski said during a hearing on Tuesday that he expects Williams to post the bail and that his wife was bringing it to Nantucket.

The Post reached out to the Nantucket Police Department and Williams but did not immediately receive a response.
