Destination X producer Twofour has upped David Brindley to CEO following Tim Carter‘s promotion to run ITV Studios unscripted UK.

Brindley takes charge of a restructured team that has seen Dan Adamson take on the newly-created Chief Content Officer role, while David Clews becomes Chief Creative Officer in Brindley’s place. Shireen Abbott has been upped to Chief of Production and the management team is completed by Jake Roberts, who remains Financial Director.

Carter was promoted last month to MD of ITV Studios unscripted UK following the exit of Angela Jain, who is now running Disney+ content in EMEA. As well as Twofour, he was previously CEO of MultiStory Media, which just promoted creative directors Mike Blair and Simone Heywood.

Based out of London and Plymouth and backed by ITV Studios, Twofour is behind NBC and the BBC’s Destination X, which is the latest show to come off the back of the partnership that birthed The Traitors. It also makes the I Kissed a Boy/Girl franchise and The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy for Apple TV+, which has run for three seasons.

Brindley, who was recently connected with the BBC content chief role that went to Kate Phillips, will report to Carter.

Carter said: “This is a hard earned and hugely deserved step up for Twofour’s brilliant management team. The shows they’ve created over the past five years speak for themselves. With their ambition and talent, Twofour is set for greater creative achievement and robust growth”.

Brindley added: “I’m a big believer that a company’s output should reflect the people who create it. These past five years, it has been a joy to shape the business with Dan, David, Shireen and Jake to have it mirror both the demands of the market, as well as our tastes and ambitions.”
