A 24-year-old woman once accused of killing her roommate was fatally struck by a train after she jumped onto the tracks at a Manhattan subway station to relieve herself last month, according to law enforcement sources and disturbing new footage.

The straphanger, identified by sources as Meana Torigoe, walked down a ladder onto the train bed in front of a red sign warning commuters to stay off the tracks at the Union Square station around 10:20 p.m. on June 16, video obtained by The Post shows.

Torigoe disappeared down the tunnel, but about 15 seconds later she was seen rushing back toward the platform before a northbound L train plowed into her just as she grabbed onto the ladder.

The train violently dragged her down the platform as other straphangers quickly jumped back.

Torigoe was pronounced dead by first responders minutes later, police said.

Police said at the time no criminality was suspected.

She wandered onto the tracks because she needed to urinate, sources told The Post Wednesday.

While there are restrooms at the station, they close at 7 p.m.

The incident took place at the Union Square station.

Back in March 2022, Torigoe, then 20, and her boyfriend were arrested and initially charged with beating and stabbing their Bronx roommate to death during an argument over noise.

It’s unclear what the resolution of the case was, but Torigoe was on probation tied to a criminal possession of a weapon charge at the time of her death, police said.

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office did not immediately return an email Wednesday evening.
