Vin Diesel surprised the crowd at Southern California’s FuelFest on Saturday night.

The actor appeared at the Fairplex in Pomona and revealed some details about the final installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, which will be titled “Fast X: Part 2.”

Diesel, who has famously played the role of fictional character Dominic “Dom” Toretto” in the film since the original debuted in 2001, revealed there were three conditions the studio had to meet to make the final installment of the saga.

“The first is to bring the franchise back to L.A.,” he told the crowd who immediately roared. “The second thing was to return to the car culture to the street racers!”

The third condition ties to the film’s mission of family.

“Dom and Brian O’Conner,” he said as the crowd screamed again in excitement.

The character of O’Conner was played by the late actor Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in 2013.

It’s unclear what Diesel meant by them reuniting onscreen, but fans are ready.

“The love that is at the core of the Fast family is truly indescribable… Organic and Authentic, yet felt by the world. Blessed am I to experience it firsthand in this lifetime. All love, always,” Diesel wrote on Instagram on Sunday alongside photos of him hugging costars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Sung Kang.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star said the film is set to be release in April of 2027.

“Fast X,” which was released in 2023, grossed more than $700 million worldwide.
