The death of Hannah Moody, whose body was found last month at a Scottsdale recreation area, has been ruled accidental, officials said.

The passenger of the fleeing car, identified as 16-year-old Julian Lugo-Estrada, died at the hospital after the crash. The vehicle’s adult driver, 18-year-old Sergio Lara-Garcia, died after receiving treatment at the hospital, Phoenix police said.

Extreme heat over 100 heading to metro Phoenix

Another wave of extreme heat is heading to metro Phoenix, with temperatures expected to climb back above 110 degrees before the end of the weekend.

In fact, the National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning for Sunday morning through Tuesday evening.

“Those days we’re expecting temperatures anywhere from 110 to 115 degrees,” NWS meteorologist Chris Kuhlman told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Thursday morning.

Navajo Nation declares state of emergency as Oak Ridge Fire burns over 1,800 acres

The Navajo Nation declared a state of emergency on Sunday afternoon due to the growing Oak Ridge Fire that burned through more than 1,800 acres, authorities said.

Evacuations have been ordered for some residents in northeast Arizona due to the fire.

The Oak Ridge Fire started on Saturday around 1:48 p.m. southwest of Window Rock and was allegedly ignited by two wood haulers cutting fresh oak, according to Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren.
