Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson made a surprise appearance at the Nantucket Film Festival over the weekend, which was celebrating its 30th anniversary.
A source said that at a Summer House after-party Friday following the Screenwriters Tribute — which honored Joanna Calo, Tony Gilroy and Alex Gibney at the Siasconset Casino — guests were surprised by the appearance of the former NFL coach, 73, and his much-younger gal pal, who “partied all night with festival attendees.”
Also at the fest were Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, Amber Ruffin, Michael Ian Black and more.
Also during the New England island festival, Ken Burns debuted select clips of his upcoming “American Revolution” doc at the Dreamland Theater.
The famed filmmaker was joined onstage by historian Nathaniel Philbrick and Lesley Stahl moderated a Q&A.
The fest ran this year June 25 to 30, and included films like “Twinless,” a Sundance winner about men who meet in a twin bereavement group starring Dylan O’Brien, Lauren Graham and the film’s writer/director James Sweeney.
Also showing was “Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story,” a documentary about the classic Steven Spielberg shark opus, as well as “Prime Minister” — a doc by Michelle Walshe and Lindsay Utz about former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
The festival closes with Jennifer Tiexiera and Guy Mossman’s documentary “Speak.”
Stiller hosted the fest’s All-Star Comedy Roundtable, featuring Zach Cherry, Ruffin, Iliza Shlesinger and Mae Martin.
Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend recently caused some local controversy when she allegedly ripped his ex, Linda Holliday, in a fiery Instagram exchange, telling a friend of the Nantucket socialite, “Hey babes! Since you are tight with Ms Holliday, would you please ask her what she would like me to do with this letter I found from 2015 . . . Due to its pathetic and embarrassing content, I imagine she wants it back.”
