The 2025 NBA Draft should be full of surprises, with much uncertainty about what will happen after the first pick. What we do already know is that Cooper Flagg will be the first player off the board to the Dallas Mavericks.
Flagg is a generational talent who had a phenomenal freshman season at Duke before declining for the draft. He averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists, displaying that he possesses all the intangibles necessary to be an excellent player at the professional level.
Dylan Harper, VJ Edgecombe, Ace Bailey, Kon Knueppel, Jeremiah Fears, and Tre Johnson are among the other prospects who hope to hear their names called during the lottery. This draft is stacked with talent, but unlike in years past, it is hard to say how high some of them will go or how far others will fall.
Bailey, in particular, has the talent to go as high as pick number two, but some red flags during the pre-draft process might push him as low as pick eight.
