We’ve turned to Kylie Jenner for plenty of beauty inspiration over the years, whether it’s her iconic pink hair, French nails, or even her plastic surgery. On the inspiration docket today? Her latest manicure, which is a snakeskin look that we’re totally wild about. The surprising summer twist was created by her go-to celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt, who, aside from Jenner, also counts Hailey Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Jennie Kim, and more as clients.
After creating a fiery cherry-coded manicure for Jenner, Ganzorigt has done it again with a hyper-realistic snakeskin print. With animal print nails trending all summer long in the form of cheetah, crocodile, zebra, and yes, snakeskin print, it looks like Jenner has officially co-signed on the look. While we’ve been seeing plenty of snakeskin this summer already, it’s been less realistic, featuring pastel colors or on the tips of a French manicure, so Jenner has definitely gone all-in on her latest mani.

Ganzorigt really shows her range as a nail artist with this set. After all, she’s also the mastermind behind Bieber’s famous glazed donut nails. But designing such realistic snakeskin is nothing short of an art form. Interestingly, it’s a distinct departure from the naked nails trends we’ve also been seeing this summer, like Selena Gomez’s glass nails and Bieber’s jelly-gloss nails.

Though Ganzorigt didn’t share exactly how to create these Kylie Jenner nails, the challenging design can be made much easier for DIY lovers by doing a bubble snakeskin effect if you want to try it at home. It won’t give you the exact same look, but you’ll be able to get in on the trend. Plus, you won’t believe how easy this trend is.
Before painting your nails, create a foamy, bubbly lather by mixing soap and water. Then, simply paint your favorite shade of gel nail polish onto your nails (feel free to add chrome powder on top for a more dimensional look), cure it under the UV lamp, and paint a layer of top coat on. Before curing, place the bubbles all over your nails, and then stick your fingers under the lamp again. Once it’s dry, wipe off any excess bubbles, and you’re done. It’s the perfect beginner design.
