And she found one in the form of the not-quite-naked manicure. In her most recent Instagram post, the Only Murders In The Building star showed off her long oval nails coated in a clear gloss and topped with tiny gems, courtesy of nail artist Tom Bachik. It’s hard to tell from the picture—a selfie—but there might be some metallic strips happening as well.

It looks like Gomez is getting ready to film something, in a puffy white robe and a full face of makeup, including an orange-red lip color and heavy bronze eyeshadow. Her hair is styled into a wavy lob, and the caption on the post reads, “I would, but I’d regret it, then get it redone so I simply wont,” hash-tagged, “bangs,” in case it wasn’t clear that these bangs are…actually, we don’t know if they’re fake or not, because her hairstylist used the haircut emoji in his own post from the day.

Anyway, back to the nails! They’re fun, will go with anything, and won’t show growth as quickly as a color would: the perfect easy-upkeep style for a gal (or guy!) who wants something fun on their fingertips but can’t hit the salon every week. Yes, Selena Gomez’s sleek lob and lilac mani were a wonderfully polished combo for her stint on Match Game, but this is a look you can take to the beach and beyond.
