Nationwide home goods retailer At Home has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will close 26 “underperforming” stores across the country, the company announced Monday.

The Coppell, Texas-based chain cited “the rapidly changing tariff landscape, persistent macroeconomic headwinds, and internal pressures” in its filing. The closures stretch from California to New York.

“These newly imposed tariffs and the uncertainty of ongoing U.S. trade negotiations intensified the financial pressure on the company,” At Home noted, referring to President Donald Trump’s broader tariff war with major trading partners.

It also cited lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift in consumer preferences away from brick-and-mortar stores toward online shopping for home furniture and decor.

At Home joins a growing list of major retailers to close stores this year, including Rite Aid, Big Lots, LL Flooring, Joann Fabrics, Kohl’s, Express, JCPenney and Macy’s.

As part of the bankruptcy proceedings, ownership of At Home will transfer to a group of hedge funds and investment firms based in New York City and San Francisco, according to a news release.

The initial list of 26 At Home store closures includes:

  • Rego Park, New York: 6135 Junction Boulevard
  • Bronx, New York: 300 Baychester Ave.
  • San Jose, California: 750 Newhall Drive
  • Tustin, California: 2505 El Camino Real
  • North Miami, Florida: 14585 Biscayne Boulevard
  • Costa Mesa, California: 2200 Harbor Boulevard
  • Pasadena, California: 3795 E. Foothills Boulevard
  • Chico, California: 1982 E. 20th St.
  • Rochester, Minnesota: 2820 Highway 63 South
  • Foothill Ranch, California: 26532 Towne Center Drive Suites A-B
  • Bellingham, Washington: 1001 E. Sunset Drive
  • Sacramento, California: 8320 Delta Shores Circle South
  • Middletown Township, New Jersey: 1361 NJ-35
  • Long Beach, California: 2900 N. Bellflower Boulevard
  • Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: 720 Clairton Boulevard
  • Yakima, Washington: 2530 Rudkin Road
  • Shrewsbury, Massachusetts: 571 Boston Turnpike
  • Peoria, Illinois: 5203 W. War Memorial Drive
  • Manassas, Virginia: 8300 Sudley Road
  • Ledgewood, New Jersey: 461 Route 10 East
